Fall 2005 One-Day Reunion Class
 
Each group of new members bears a class name of Scottish Rite members who have passed on.  This provides a link between the Scottish Rite members and those departed members who have contributed inside and outside the walls of the Consistory. 
 
 
 
Orie Jones, 32 KCCH
Orie Jones, 32 KCCHOrie Jones was born in Dallas County, Iowa in 1922. He served with the U. S. Army as a Battalion Sgt. Major in the Southeast Asiatic Pacific Theater during World War II. After his military service he moved to Earlham, Iowa and became a rural mail carrier for 22 years. He then was appointed Postmaster, serving for 12 years.


He was raised to the degree of a Master Mason in Madison Lodge No. 568 in 1950. He joined the Des Moines Valley in 1972 and was invested Knight Commander Court of Honour in 1981. Bro Orie served as a Class Marshal from 1972 until 1983 when he became Chairman of the Marshals. He was Chairman until 1998 when he was made Chairman emeritus.


Orie was a member of Za-Ga-Zig Shrine and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. He served the Grand Chapter of Iowa, O.E.S. as Grand Sentinel in 1977, Associate Grand Patron in 1980 and as Worthy Grand Patron in 1981.


Bro. Jones died April 3, 2002.
